qLab Construction to Begin at Alastair Ross Technology Centre
Project Background
University of Calgary Properties Group is the real estate developer responsible for the management
and development of University Innovation Quarter. The Alastair Ross Technology Centre (ARTC) located at 3553 31st Street NW will be expanded to include a new 3-storey, 40,000 square foot building on the east side of the existing structure. The expansion is called qLab and is intended to attract research and companies from around the world with 5,000 square feet dedicated to the clean room labs The expansion is being developed to support Quantum City, which is located inside ARTC. The expected completion date for qLab is 2027. We are working with PCL Construction and START Architecture to develop qLab.
